Shakira is one of the most important Latin female stars that has garnered International fame.

Abel Mebarak Ripoll known as Shakira was born on February 2, 1977 in the city of Barranquilla. It was her childhood dream to become a singer once and that dream has definitely come true.

Her first album, Magia, was published in 1991. “Esta noche voy contigo”, “Lejos de tu amor” and “Cuentas conmigo” are some of the hits that her fans recognize. But surely, Pies Descalzos was the one that earned her International fame. All still remember “Pies Descalzos, Sueños Blancos”, “Estoy aqui” and “Antologia”.

This successful album was followed by many others such as “Donde estan los ladrones”, “Servicio de lavanderia”, “Fijacion oral”, “Loba”, “Sale el sol” and her latest production, Shakira, that was released in 2014 and became one of the year’s most listened showing the strength of her fan base.
