The Bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis

We’re just a few short weeks from Juan Pablo Galavis‘ premiere as “The Bachelor.” On Monday (Dec. 16), he spoke with the press about his upcoming season, teasing some fun Latin-themed activities and also what he looks for in a woman.

“I am a Latino … there’s gonna be a lot of food, a lot of dancing, a lot of stuff. It’s gonna be so different, you’re going to love it,” Galavis says. “Maybe a little salsa dancing, we’ll see!”

Dancing is a big part of Galavis’ life — in fact, it’s one of his biggest turn-ons.

“I’m looking for a woman that is fun, that is smart, that is honest. Athletic, they like sports a little bit,” he says. “I’m looking for somebody that knows how to dance because I love dancing, that’s one of my biggest turn-ons. But in this situation, I say to myself that not all of them are going to dance … just don’t make them dance yet and just get to know them better.”

One thing that won’t be too heavily featured on the show is his young daughter, Camila. Galavis says that he doesn’t really introduce her to many of his girlfriends.

“After [Camila’s mom, Carla], I just had one girlfriend who was the one who had a chance to meet Camila and it was a friend of daddy, that’s it,” says Galavis. “Obviously, I’m going to be with somebody some day and I’m going to be like, ‘This is the one, she could be your stepmom,’ and I introduce her because I’m 100 percent sure I’m going to marry [this person].

“[Camilla] will find out later, she’s not going to watch the show,” he adds. “I’m going to show maybe some things to her, but I’m not going to show everything. She’s little, it’s not worth even involving her in this whole process.”

“The Bachelor” debuts Sunday, Jan. 5 and Monday, Jan. 6 in a special two-night premiere on ABC.
