It has been confirmed that Marc Anthony will be a celebrity mentor on The X Factor that kicks off its second season on September 12, 2012.  He will be a mentor to Simon Cowell’s team.  Justin Bieber on the other hand will be mentoring contestants on L.A. Reid’s team.

They are still casting to find mentors for Demi Lovato’s and Britney Spears’ teams.

Not sure if Marc Anthony made this decision because his ex-wife Jennifer Lopes made a ton of money on American Idol or because he is pretty close to Simon Cowell and Justin Bieber and in turn influenced his decision.

Either way should be a fun show to watch.
