Selena Gomez surprised and disappointed her fans with the cancellation of the tour that was scheduled for Australia .  The reason given by her publicist is that the young singer and actress decided to take time to rest and spend time with his family .

“My fans are very important to me and it is not my intention to disappoint them ,” Gomez said in a statement to the press in which he said : ” Now it is clear in my mind and also to people close to me, that after many years of putting my job first, I need time to myself, so I can give my best.”

Many have linked the cancellation to the still recent breakup with pop star Justin Bieber but the truth is that Selena did not refer to this fact and only spoke of her need to spend time away from work .

Her publicist decided to clarify the situation to dismiss the rumors: “She’s been on tour for six months and wants to have a normal life at home with her family ,” adding that Selena ” has worked hard without a break since she was 15 years old and wants to take some time off for herself. ”

The singer performed 55 concerts throughout the United States and Europe as part of her tour Stars Dance.
